Text: Using Actions and Objectives
Tuesday 7 July, 2:00pm - 4.00pm
Where: Zoom digital workshop
From Stanislavsky to Mike Alfreds to Phyllida Lloyd, many different directors and practitioners use actions and objectives in all types of rehearsal rooms. But what are they? How can they be helpful? And how can you use them in your work with actors and performers?
This will be a gentle introduction, (or reminder!) about using actions and objectives in the rehearsal room. In this hands-on workshop, led by director Jennifer Tang directors will get the chance to work with other directors to try out these techniques and explore how they might like to adopt, adapt or abandon this way of working to suit their own process.
This is a practical workshop and participants should be happy to work as both actor and director in small groups.
Closed captions will be available for this session via Otter AI. If you have any access needs please let us know.
If you would like to attend this discussion then please sign up here so we can get a sense of numbers.
